I’m thrilled to share that I was named the Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher for 2025 in the University of Memphis Department of Chemistry. This is a huge honor especially knowing how much great research is happening across the department every day. Being recognized among such talented peers and mentors is both humbling and energizing.

I’m deeply grateful to the faculty who challenged me, the grad students and labmates who showed me the ropes, and the friends who kept me balanced along the way.

I’m excited to carry these lessons forward—to keep exploring, keep learning, and keep contributing to science wherever I go next. Thank you everyone in the Chemistry Department for the opportunities, the guidance, and the vote of confidence.

The award plaque now hangs outside the General Chemistry Labs. It is super cool to see a momento every day as I head into the office.
